Hello friends,⁣ ⁣ As many of you know, the Gua Hello friends,⁣ ⁣ As many of you know, the Guatemalan Project is a non profit that I hold very dear to my heart. The volunteer director, my mentor and friend, is an incredible woman who is literally changing the world as we speak.⁣ ⁣ She has identified a public health need in the village: that children and families are literally dying from the ash and smoke from the primitive stoves that they cook on every day. Beyond chronic long issues, women are risking their lives and their bodies by walking miles every day to chop wood and carry it home. ⁣ ⁣ As I sit in my cozy home I feel incredibly blessed for the privileges I have that many do not. ⁣ ⁣ We have just $700 dollars left to raise so that we can bring an eco-stove to every family in the village. This will enable wood to go further and for the stoves to ventilate out of houses so that children will no longer be so sick.⁣ ⁣ Please consider donating to this important cause. Too many small children suffer from asthma, chronic coughing, and headaches. Too many women suffer from difficulty in breathing, muscular pain, and headaches.⁣ ⁣ We believe that the probable cause for these illnesses are due to the handmade wooden stoves that 99% of the people of El Triunfo use to cook.
